Day 1
Senso-ji Temple
Imprecise
“Tokyo's oldest temple featuring the iconic red lantern and bustling shopping street. Arrive early to avoid crowds and catch the serene morning atmosphere at this must-see landmark.”
Claimed: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM · Free
Checked: Senso-ji's own site gives main-hall hours of 06:00–17:00 and a 06:30 opening from October to March. The claim's single 06:00–17:00 window is right in summer and 30 minutes early on winter mornings. The official page states no admission fee, so we do not judge the claim of free entry.
The temple's own page: the main hall opens at 06:00, but at 06:30 from October to March.
Checked 12 October 2026: Senso-ji official site (Japanese)
Tsukiji Outer Market
Imprecise
“Fresh sushi breakfast at family-run stalls. Sample authentic nigiri at Sushi Zanmai (¥3,500 for premium set) or grab tuna-mayo rice bowls for ¥1,200. The energy and quality are unmatched.”
Claimed: 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM · ¥2,000-¥5,000 per person
Checked: The market's own calendar splits the day into 06:00–09:00 for professional buyers, 09:00–14:00 for the public, and individual shop hours after 14:00 — not one 05:00–14:00 window. The same calendar marks regular closing days, which the claim never mentions; check it for your date. We did not re-check the quoted prices.
Tsukiji Outer Market's calendar: public hours are 09:00–14:00, with regular closing days marked on the calendar.

Shibuya Crossing & 109 Shopping Center
Wrong hours
“The world's busiest pedestrian crossing. Grab coffee at the Starbucks overlooking the intersection, watch the organized chaos, and browse youth fashion at the legendary 109 department store.”
Claimed: Crossing: 24/7 | Shopping: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM · Free to view crossing | Shopping varies
Checked: GO TOKYO, Tokyo's official tourism site, lists SHIBUYA109's hours as 10:00–21:00, closed only on New Year's Day. The claim's 20:00 close is an hour early. The crossing itself is a public street.
Tokyo's official tourism site gives SHIBUYA109 10:00–21:00; the itinerary says 20:00.
Checked 12 October 2026: GO TOKYO: SHIBUYA109
Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu
Wrong hours
“Energetic izakaya in a converted warehouse. Yakitori skewers, kushikatsu fried sides, and craft sake. The lively atmosphere and reasonably priced dishes make it a local favorite.”
Claimed: 5:00 PM - 11:30 PM · ¥4,000-¥8,000 per person
Checked: Gonpachi's own site lists daily hours of 11:30 to 03:30, with lunch until 15:00 and last food orders at 02:45. The claimed 17:00 opening erases lunch, and the 23:30 close cuts four hours off the night. We did not re-check prices.
Gonpachi's own site: open daily from 11:30, with lunch until 15:00, closing at 03:30.
Checked 12 October 2026: Gonpachi Nishi-Azabu official site
Shibuya Sky (View Deck)
Wrong price
“360-degree Tokyo skyline from 230 meters up. Night views are spectacular; bring a light jacket as the observation deck can be breezy.”
Claimed: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (last entry 9:15 PM) · ¥2,500
Checked: GO TOKYO lists Shibuya Sky at 10:00–22:30 with last admission at 21:20, and adult tickets at ¥2,700 online before 15:00 or ¥3,400 from 15:00, ¥3,000 and ¥3,700 at the counter. The flat ¥2,500 matches none of them. The hours are also off: closing is 30 minutes later and last admission 5 minutes later than claimed.
Tokyo's official tourism site: adult tickets from ¥2,700 online, last admission 21:20.
Checked 12 October 2026: GO TOKYO: SHIBUYA SKY
Day 2
Meiji Shrine
Imprecise
“Serene Shinto shrine nestled in a forested area honoring Emperor Meiji. The peaceful walk through the woods feels worlds away from Tokyo's buzz. Weekday mornings are quieter.”
Claimed: Sunrise to sunset (6:00 AM - 4:30 PM in winter) · Free
Checked: Sunrise to sunset is right: Meiji Jingu publishes a monthly gate table and admission is free. The claim's winter example is off, though. The shrine's own table gives 06:40–16:00 in December, 06:40–16:20 in January and 06:20–16:50 in February, so the gates open 20–40 minutes later than the claimed 06:00.
The shrine's own monthly table: December 06:40–16:00, January 06:40–16:20.

Takeshita Street, Harajuku
Couldn't verify
“Tokyo's most famous youth fashion street packed with trend shops and crepe stands. Expect crowds and enjoy the kawaii (cute) culture. Grab a strawberry crepe for ¥800-¥1,200.”
Claimed: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (shops vary) · Free to walk | Shopping ¥500-¥5,000+
Checked: GO TOKYO gives no fixed hours for Takeshita Street — hours vary by store — and the street is free to walk. That neither confirms nor refutes the claimed 10:00–19:00, so this stop is not counted either way.
Tokyo's official tourism site lists no fixed hours for the street's shops.
Checked 12 October 2026: GO TOKYO: Takeshita Street
Tokyo Tower
Wrong price
“The iconic red steel tower with views rivaling Skytree but with more retro charm. Daytime views show metropolitan sprawl; sunset is golden. The lower-deck arcade has vintage games.”
Claimed: 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM (last entry 9:30 PM) · ¥2,100 (main deck) | ¥3,000 (both decks)
Checked: Tokyo Tower's own site lists the Main Deck at 09:00–23:00 (last entry 22:30) for ¥1,500 per adult, and the Top Deck Tour at ¥3,300 online or ¥3,500 at the counter. The claim overquotes the Main Deck at ¥2,100 and underquotes both decks at ¥3,000; it also closes the tower an hour early.
Tokyo Tower's own price page: Main Deck ¥1,500, Top Deck Tour ¥3,300–¥3,500.
Checked 12 October 2026: Tokyo Tower: prices · Tokyo Tower: hours
Ichiran Ramen
Couldn't verify
“Famous tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen chain. Individual booths ensure a focused eating experience. Rich, creamy broth with tender chashu pork. The ¥950 regular bowl is filling and authentic.”
Claimed: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM · ¥850-¥1,150
Checked: The itinerary names Ichiran, a chain with several Tokyo shops, but not which branch. Branch hours differ, so the claimed 11:00–22:00 cannot be checked against one shop. For example, Ichiran's own page for its Shibuya shop says it is open 24 hours, with the classic ramen at ¥1,180. That is one branch, not proof the claim is wrong, so this stop is not counted.
No branch named; Ichiran's Shibuya shop, for one, is open 24 hours.
Checked 12 October 2026: Ichiran Shibuya official page
Day 3
Toyosu Market
Wrong hours
“Tokyo's newer, cleaner fish market replacing Tsukiji. Fresh sashimi and sushi at vendor counters. Try uni (sea urchin) donburi at Sushi Zanmai or grab fresh tuna at ¥4,200 for premium sets.”
Claimed: 5:45 AM - 3:15 PM (inner market) | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (outer shops) · ¥3,000-¥6,000 per person
Checked: GO TOKYO lists Toyosu Market's visiting hours as 05:00–17:00, closed on Wednesdays, Sundays, national holidays and some irregular days, with free entry, and notes that hours can differ by floor, shop or facility; the tuna-auction observation deck needs an advance reservation. The claimed 05:45–15:15 matches neither end of the general visiting hours and mentions no closing days. Individual restaurants may keep their own hours, and we did not re-check their prices.
Tokyo's official tourism site: 05:00–17:00, closed Wednesdays, Sundays and holidays.
Checked 12 October 2026: GO TOKYO: Toyosu Market · Tokyo Central Wholesale Market calendar
Odaiba Decks & teamLab Borderless
Wrong location
“Modern shopping mall on reclaimed land with Tokyo Bay views. Nearby, immerse yourself in digital art installations at teamLab Borderless—a mind-bending experience of light, color, and interaction.”
Claimed: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (mall) | 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM (teamLab) · Free to browse mall | teamLab ¥3,200
Checked: teamLab's own site lists teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills in Minato — not in Odaiba next to Decks Tokyo Beach, where the itinerary sends you. We did not re-check its current ticket prices or the mall's hours.
teamLab's official site places teamLab Borderless at Azabudai Hills, not Odaiba.
Checked 12 October 2026: teamLab Borderless official site
Robot Restaurant
Couldn't verify
“Over-the-top dinner show featuring giant robots, neon dancers, and sensory overload. Kitsch Tokyo at its finest. Includes a bento box dinner. Chaotic, loud, but unforgettable—very Instagram-worthy.”
Claimed: Shows: 4:00 PM, 5:45 PM, 7:30 PM, 9:15 PM · ¥6,500-¥8,000
Checked: Robot Restaurant stopped running shows in 2020, during the pandemic. Reporting since then disagrees on whether the closure was final. SoraNews24 reported in May 2021 that the operator still called it temporary after the building's sign came down; Wikipedia, citing a 2022 report, lists it as permanently closed. We found no current primary source on the venue itself, so we cannot confirm its status today and do not count this stop. The claimed showtimes and prices describe the show as it ran before 2020.
Shows stopped in 2020; there is no current official source on its status, so this stop is not counted.
Checked 12 October 2026: SoraNews24, May 2021 · Wikipedia
Sushi Saito
Misleading
“One of Tokyo's most celebrated sushi restaurants. Reserve weeks in advance. The chef selects the finest fish daily; expect 15-20 pieces of exquisite nigiri with minimal rice and perfect temperature control.”
Claimed: Lunch 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM | Dinner 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM (closed Sundays) · ¥15,000-¥25,000 (omakase only)
Checked: Sushi Saito has no official site, and the best current source we found is a July 2026 guide by Pearl. It reports no public booking at all — no phone reservations, waitlist or walk-ins — only introductions from regulars or a hotel concierge with a relationship to the restaurant, and an omakase listed around ¥49,500. 'Reserve weeks in advance' is not an option for most visitors, and the claimed ¥15,000–¥25,000 is far below that.
A July 2026 guide reports no public reservations, introductions only. It is a secondary source; there is no official page.
Checked 12 October 2026: Pearl, July 2026 (secondary)
Roppongi Hills Mori Tower (Night View)
Wrong price
“Sleek observation deck 52 floors up with panoramic city views. More upscale than Shibuya Sky; the evening light show across Tokyo's cityscape is magical. Cocktails available at the bar (¥2,000-¥3,500).”
Claimed: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (last entry 9:15 PM) · ¥1,800
Checked: Tokyo City View runs 10:00–22:00 as claimed, but its own page gives last admission at 21:30, not 21:15. Adult tickets are ¥2,200 online or ¥2,400 on site. ¥1,800 exists only as the online price on a few days when the area facing Mt. Fuji is closed off (28–30 October and 4–9 November 2026). The page also lists closed days: 27 October and 10–12 November.
Tokyo City View's own page: adults ¥2,200 online or ¥2,400 on site; ¥1,800 only on restricted-view days.
